What is GMAT?

Exam Pattern

The format of the GMAT exam comprises of four sections;

  • Integrated Reasoning

Students have the flexibility to choose from three options for your exam’s section order;

  • Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, Verbal

Fees

The registration fee for GMAT is US $250 that includes free and unlimited score report sending. You can reschedule your exam appointment any time before your scheduled exam time for a fee of US $25. The cancellation fee for the GMAT exam is US $100. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled exam appointment time.

Identification Requirements

You are required to present an original (not a photocopy) ID that is valid (unexpired) and government-issued. All IDs must include the candidate’s name and a recent, recognizable photo. All IDs must have a first and last name that matches the first and last name the candidate used to register for the exam.

Below are the acceptable forms of identification:

  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Military ID (including spouse and dependents)
  • Identification card (national or local)
  • Registration card (such as green card, permanent resident, visa)

GMAT Scoring

The GMAT Scores are based on your calculated performance for all the sections and range from 200 to 800.

Important: There is a penalty for not completing each section of the exam. If you do not finish in the allotted time, your scores will be calculated based on the number of questions answered. Your score will decrease significantly with each unanswered question.

Attempts

You can take the GMAT exam once every 16 calendar days and no more than five times in a rolling 12-month period.

You can not appear more than eight times total for GMAT in a lifetime.

Exam Result

You can access your scores via an online account. You will receive an email notifying you once your scores are available. Your result will be available within 20 calendar days of your GMAT exam.

Score Validity

GMAT scores are valid for 5 years.
